2) Melting point: 223oC (tech.)
3) Vapor pressure: < 0.01mPa (20oC)
4) KOW:logP=-2.82 (pH 7)
5) S.g./density: 1.187g/cm3 (tech, 20oC)
6) Stability: a) stable in aqueous media (7d at pH 1 - 2 and pH 12 - 13, 95oC);decomposes at 285oC
Inhibits the biosynthesis of gibberellic acid.
Used on cotton to reduce vegetative growth and to advance maturation of the
bolls;and to inhibit sprouting in onions, garlic and leeks. Used in combination
with ethephon to prevent lodging (by shortening the stem and strengthening the
stem wall) in cereals, grass seed crops, and flax.
chloride will begin act in 3-5 days after used it, and it can keep the effect
in 15 to 25 days( this is decided by the application amount, the rainfall,
sensitivity of crop, and the way crop is growing etc.).
Mepiquat chloride can enhance plant’s conduct and systematic
function, accelerate the reproductive growth; control the crazy growth and
reduce the lateral branch, help the plant have a better shape; strengthen the
root system, weighting the fruits and improve the quality. It can widely used
on various of fruits trees, cotton, sweat, rice, peanut, corn, potato, grape,
legume, vegetables, and flowers.
